F. O. when in came out on TV in the 70's when I was a kid. It was made by the same people who did the TV puppets series Stingray and Thunderbirds. Gary Anderson company I believe the name is. This was in fact their first production with actual people. I thought the series was similar to Thunderbirds in a way. The purple page hair wig girls dressed in lovely silver outfits are not the aliens but people occupying the moonbase defending against the aliens. Check out the teletype intro.
